Hi, I'm Taehwan Kim of Shoppers Lab Inc., the maker of bakecut.
I run a YouTube channel with about 100,000 subscribers and publish videos every week. The slowest part of my workflow was always subtitles: waiting for uploads, counting monthly quotas, and never getting the styling I actually wanted. So I built bakecut for myself first.
Three promises
- Your video never leaves your computer. Transcription, editing and export all run locally. No uploading unreleased footage anywhere.
- Style every single word. Not per clip, per word: color, font and size. This was my biggest frustration with other tools, so it became the core of bakecut.
- Free that's actually usable. 120 minutes of AI transcription every month and every editing feature, free. The watermark can be removed for free by crediting bakecut.
Built by daily use
Every feature in bakecut came from my own editing sessions: automatic silence cutting, word-by-word highlights, emoji pops. I use it every week, which means I fix what annoys me fast.
